Roger the Dodger by Julian Lage

November 12, 2017 By Sean Thrower Leave a Comment

Julian Lage’s feel and fluidity when playing is like nobody else’s. Though he’s well-known as a jazz prodigy, many of his recent projects display his much wider variety of influences. Check out this recently released music video of a song from his upcoming album, Modern Lore. “Roger the Dodger” jumps between soulful versus and menacing choruses. Heads up – Listen for the neat augmented lick at 1:22.
