Chicken pickin’ machine Johnny Hiland has been on the scene since the mid ’90s. Born legally blind, Johnny didn’t let that hold him back. He started playing guitar at age 2 and quickly became a local sensation in the northeast winning talent shows and performing on TV all by age 10. Like Brent Mason, Johnny has worked extensively as a Nashville session guitarist and has recorded for artists such as Randy Travis, Ricky Skaggs, Janie Fricke, and Hank Williams III. We caught Johnny demoing his new Kiesel guitar (formerly Carvin Guitars) at the Summer NAMM Show in Nashville, TN.
